Biographical / Historical
Rev. Peter Berglov left Sollerön , Sweden with his family 28 April 1882. They traveled from there to catch a train in Falun to Göteborg where they caught the boat <Orlando> to London. They were to have been taken to Liverpool then to catch another boat to America, but instead they ended up on a large old steamboat that many considered unseaworthy. They decided to stay on the boat, though two or three hundred passengers left at their own expense to catch a better ship at Liverpool. The trip was comfortable except for the days when the storms and wind tossed the boat.
