Scope and Contents

This collection includes scrapbooks, minutes, correspondences and pictures. The scrapbooks were taken out of the binders and put into folders named accordingly for better access.

Biographical / Historical

The Western Rosemalers Association was a place in which women from different Scandinavian backgrounds could come and one outlet was to express themselves through the beautiful art known as Rosemaling. The WRA was established in 1975 as a way to promote and continue this form of art. There are many different levels of experience ranging from beginner to highly experienced, yet all were welcome, and still are. Their monthly newsletters, known as the Acanthus Vine is mailed out to all of its members.
