Biographical / Historical

Knut Pedersen Haslerud was born 3 February 1824 in Rollag, Numedal, Norway and died December 1899. He was a well-loved teacher and church deacon in Veggli, Norway from 1848 to 1880. He married Ambjoer Helgesdatter Hvammen (from Veggli) on 14 June 1856. In 1883, he left for America with his wife and four children. They lived in Lac qui Parle, Minnesota, near Watson, on a farm.
