Biographical / Historical
Norway Day was a part of Seattle World’s Fair in 1962 called Century 21 Exposition. The Norwegian exposition evening program took place in the Opera House, and included Norwegian singers and showed Norwegian culture, as the traditional dress, the bunad.

Abstract
Norway Day is an opera and culture exposition that happened on June 17, 1962, as a part of Seattle World’s Fair, Century 21 Exposition. The day was sponsored by The Norway Day Committee. The collection contains several documents from this exposition, some letters to and from the committee members, a financial report, and a document explaining the events that will happen on the day, called “A message about Norway Day”. The document signed by Martin Hagfors, a member of the publicity committee for Norway Day.
